Just a quick peek at some of my Christmas decorations my hubby put up over the weekend. He has such a knack for displaying things that I just let him have at it and then tweak things as needed when he goes to work. He is a huge help though and aside from our big tree, which we haven't gone and picked out yet, we have the whole house decorated. I have trees in most rooms but here is a few pics of what we have been up to. One of my kids, a teen of course, said it looks like Christmas threw up in our house. Funny but they said they wouldn't have it any other way.
My theme in the kitchen is gingerbread and candy and I did the cutest candy tree which I will post a picture of later.
The Santa head is one my mom bought in the 60s. I don't have much of her Christmas stuff but I do treasure this guy. Other than things I have had forever, I buy most of my new things at my favorite little shop's after Christmas sale. I am the first one in line and fill my basket with lots of 50% items I have had mt eye on. I'm joining Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphasis Monday and The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays. Also linking with Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday and Rednesday with Sue Loves Cherries
and Happy To Design.

My kitchen is gingerbread at Christmas too! I even rename my house to Candy Cane Cottage because we decorate the outside with candy canes. I haven't done any Christmas yet because we just got back from our Thanksgiving trip.
I like your creams and browns too! I can't wait to see more!
I just love how country your kitchen is! I love gingerbread men too!!!!

I love seeing your home and all your decorations. I used to do that, but time has a way of changing things.
Everything is so pretty! Love the drink basket, I do the same at my house. Have a blessed night!
Charming primitives and folk art you have there. Sounds like you're all set for the after Christmas markdowns:)
I love your Santa head. If I saw one like it in an antique shop, I'd buy it for sure. Your decorations look very nice!

I love how you're decking those halls, and making it all cozy and merry! That drink basket is such a great idea. I miss having kids spending the night here, but our daughter is 21 now and away at college. Pretty quiet here nowadays!
Happy REDnesday!

Hi Elaine...
Well my friend...your Christmas last year looked sooo pretty! How awesome that your husband loves to do some of the Christmas decorating! Too cool! Everything looked so beautiful but I especially loved your kitchen Christmas vignette with the gingerbread boy and the "HOLLY" boxes! Love, love, LOVE the HOLLY decorative boxes!
Thank you so much for sharing this sweet Christmas post with us for the Sunday Favorites party, dear lady! Warmest wishes to you and your family for a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
Have a super Sunday, Elaine!

Love the idea of a drink "Basket". I simply don't have room for a whole drink station or area. This is a great alternative! Your Christmas displays look great!
