Our den is decorated in blues and reds. Now it is the only room in the house with blue, and I probably would not have chose blue but for the rug. You see my mother in law gave us this beautiful rug in blue with touches of red so there you go. My den color scheme. I say my house is decorated in early mother in law. She is a compulsive decorator.
Very well used sofas that have seen better days but are still very comfy. The afghans were made by my mom and are special to me.
We love stars around here.

Nice. Many years ago, I used to buy a lot of home decor at the Chino Auction. I said my house was decorated in Early American Chino Auction!!! My Mom is a compulsive redecorator too, and I have been the more than happy recipient of her cast offs.
LOL I wish I had a compulsively decorating MIL, but she has decorated with family antiques, and I was lucky enough to inherit three pieces when she downsized :D

Now I was going to say you have the exact same sofas and chairs as me, but as you live in California and I'm in the UK that doesn't seem very likely does it? I've also teamed mine with red.
Saw your comment over at Cozy Little House about putting hair from the hair brush out for the birds. We used to do that back home with the dog's fur (Old English Sheepdog - more like wool), but I'd never thought about human hair, and my daughter has loooooong hair. Thanks for the tip.
