A couple of the kids and I took a field trip to a local Botanical Gardens. The Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens is a lovely spot of winding paths and quiet spots. The gardens are full of only native Californian plants and trees.
This salvia was gigantic. On steroids.
Each area highlights the different areas of the state. There is even a small grove of Sequoia trees as well as coastal redwoods.
The gardens are full of large sculptures.
In early spring this field is full of wild Iris.

Looks like a very nice place to spend an afternoon. I love salvias, but here in Indiana we have to treat most of them as annuals as they are not hardy. Have a great weekend!
So beautiful! What a wonderful way to spend a day. Garden tours are always so inspiring too :)
Have a fantastic weekend !!
What a wonderful outing! It seems so relaxing there.
Looks like a fun trip to me, anywhere there are flowers makes for a wonderful time.
Areas like that are just so refreshing and relaxing and calming!!
Thanks for sharing it with us,
