A few times a year we shave our big dog. And the result is so darn funny that I laugh every time I see her the first day. Now don't blame my husband as this dog has the most impossible hair to shave. She is half Husky and Golden Retriever so she has the thickest, coarsest hair. I had to share as I felt a good laugh was in order after my last two posts. Prepare for a good chuckle.
Here she is all in her furry glory which results in the need to vacuum daily.
Oh ya this is great blending job. NOT!!
This is after hours and going over her twice. She looks like a Ruffles potato chip. She loves getting shaved though. She moans and wiggles her back leg. She is very good when getting it done which for her is unusual.
And this is our other dog laughing. I can just hear her, "Have you seen what they have done to you?"

I think she's beautiful! Our dog has a shorter coat but shedding is a problem so we shave her too. For some reason it makes her look fatter.
I've thought of shaving Willie, but he would be pink with black spots. While pink and black sound quite fashionable, I'm not for sure my husband would continue to take him for walks.
she's still a beauty,,,that must be a big job, lots of hair,,,, where do you do this,,
I love dogs and dog posts!!! Bonnie got her "summer 'do" also.
We have a lonnnng haired golden. He is in desperate need of a summer shave. Know what you mean about the hair everywhere. I vacuum and swear ten minutes later there are fur puppies everywhere.
Haha...she so funny! They do that to my next door neighbor's dog too...she loves it!
She is beautiful and will be so much cooler for the summer.
Awww, she's still pretty.
Sometimes I'd just like to shave my head and stop worrying about driving across town for haircuts.

I think your puppy looks great and cool! I hadn't read your last few posts, so I hope your daughter is doing OK still. And I love the memory fountain that you put in.
It will be so much cooler for her this summer. We had a sheltie shaved...once :-) It took so long for his hair to grow back, and he didn't have his "sheltie/collie" look for a long time.
Oh bless her! I have heard of dogs preferring to be shaved, especially in the hot weather...Thank you for linking up to Feed Me Tweet Me Follow Me Home :)
