In my boredom (bliss) last weekend with nothing to do, I cleaned out and moved things around in my little glass doored cupboard. I brought out my little English tea pots. In the cooler months I love to have a pot of hot tea ready for the girls when they get up in the morning.
Their favorite is Earl Grey.
This cupboard is where we keep our everyday mugs.
The fridge got a good scrubbing and I decided to add a little color to the top. This gal needs as much decorating space as she can squeek out.
To me there is nothing like a little red and white, no wait, a lot of red and white in the kitchen.

I love all the color you have going on ,, beautiful
Lovely!
You have everything looking great Elaine! Love the red, and I would just love to come by for tea.
I'm a red girl too. I've tried to get away from it from time to time but I keep bringing it back, a kitchen is just not a kitchen without some red touches. Love yours.
Can u come scrub my kitchen? I am ready to change things around too. love that red phone and all your vintage things!
This is such a warm and cozy post, talking about teapots and tea. That's great that your girls like hot tea!
Have I told you that I ordered some of those candles you said loved Mc Call's Country Store...(a few wks back)...and I love them!! I ordered several and they are going to be some of my Christmas gifts. Thanks so much for sharing some of your favorite things!

Your tea posts are so whimsy! I heart them. I have one like them but green, and I found it in a flea market a few months ago. I use it to prepare green tea, it's the one I drink.
Thanks for sharing this gorgeous vignette.
Just beautiful!!! Love your teapots!
I bought a red, a yellow and a lighter blue pot from an online store. They look like yours.I drink Bigalow Constant Comment green tea. Have you tried it?
I am a huge fan of red. Red cars, red purses, red this, red that...love it!! Your tea pots are cute. When we were young newlyweds, we lived next door to a couple from England that were here for work for a few years. I became friendly with the wife, and she introduced me to a proper spot of tea. Always loose tea, she mixed Earl Grey and Typhoo, and it was sent to her from her friends and family in England. Boil a kettle of water, then pour the water into the tea pot, which already has a teaspoon of tea per each person drinking it, plus one extra "for the pot" she always said. Put a tea cozy over the pot, let it steep a bit, then milk into the cup with tea poured over a strainer to keep any loose tea bits from getting into our cups. It was a lovely thing, and I so loved having her "ring me up for a spot of tea!"
PS Is that a rotary wall phone????? I wish I still had mine!!!
Very, very pretty! Your teapots are so pretty and I love those vintage white salt and pepper shakers! I would love to find a pair of those.
Hugs, Cindy
I love all your red & white. It's so nice to see kitchen inspiration that suits my taste to a "t".
I just love all of the wonderful color in your kitchen. That little cabinet with all of your pretty dishes looks wonderful.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Looks great...I love redoing the hutch in my kitchen as the seasons change. I love the red phone...we have a black one like that hooked up in the garage!
If you like Earl Grey you should RUN, not walk, to order Harney & Sons Earl Grey Supreme. It is the BEST Earl Grey I have ever had. It has superb quality Silver Tips in it and I have been drinking it for years. DOn't work for them, just a happy customer! lol~~ :)
Have a blessed weekend,

Thanks for visiting my Blackberry Creek Home Arts and for you comment. I LOVE your blog and all your pretties. I just bought a new set of red dishes y yesterday. Had my coffee this morning from one of my new mugs. Oh, and BTW, Earl Grey is also my favorite tea. Have a great day.
How nice that you make tea for your girls in the morning...when I was in high school my mom would bring me half coffee/half milk every morning. I loved it. Thanks for linking up to Open House Party.
We rehabbed our kitchen a few years ago and painted the walls a rust color with cream cabinets. The one regret I have is that it is one of the few colors that don't go with RED!!! I already have plans to paint the walls cream, so I can pull out my vintage red and green treasures again! I love your fun bright kitchen!
I love your glass front cabinet. It is a great place to show off these cute dishes. It looks wonderful! Thanks for linking it up to Home Sweet Home!

Good morning Elaine,
What a wonderful post! There is nothing like red to perk up a room; especially the kitchen! I really like Earl Grey tea but I've never tried Bigelow. I am loving your red phone! Your kitchen is so inviting and having a cup of Earl Grey with you would be lovely. Thank you for joining me for Tea Time today and I wish you a delightful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
