Below is a text I sent to my hubby early this morning:
Up at five with cold little toes poking me in my bed
She needs to see big Sis leave
As Lola barks to get up in the bed
And then I find runny poo in the den.
My toes are cold so I get some socks
And then off to make glorious coffee
Where I step in pee in the kitchen.
Still love my life though but can you top that?
Hubby's response:
Wow that's a life poem...
Title...
When life gives you runny poo, make coffee.
Just keeping it real folks.

With Riley so ill and aging, I step in poo on a regular basis! What a morning you had. Coffee sure helps, especially after stepping in poo.

Lovr, love, love it.
Wow...you really know how to start a day! ;D
Okay, theme here or what?! I had pretty much the same experience, but thankfully in our kitchen on the tile floor. Much easier to clean up! And your hubby, sounds like a great guy!
I feel your poo! (only mine is usually in the form of hairballs left in the middle of the night!)
Yep, my life here too!
Brenda
Lol, that is so cute! Sounds like some of my mornings!

hahahaha! Thanks for sharing a bit of reality! :)

That is never a good way to start the day, but at least you have a sense of humor about it!
Yep, done it. Hope your day is starts off better tomorrow!
Reminds me of our little dachs in her last year. I started covering the floors with newspapers, putting up baby gates to keep her in the kitchen and being gentle and quiet with her because she was so embarrassed. A family member who gave unconditional love.
HAHA! That's so funny. A new life motto.
Getting old is not easy for anyone, regardless of the species...What a way to begin the day.
I love the quote, "the thing about life is the fact that it is so daily". Yep. Real life.
Sounds like a Valentine to my ears! Too sweet and funny!
That's so funny, Elaine, but sometimes, that is just life! And we've all had those days.
Hugs, Cindy
Love it!!!
I'm still laughing my butt off! Don't tell anyone I've been stepping in runny cat poo from an old pet for 2 month now. Tomorrow, I shall say, "When the poo is runny, make coffee!" ~ Maureen
Sweet :)
Not the poo... the text.
Wow! Great crafting of words. You only have proven that the outcome of our lives is highly influenced by the way we see it. Positivity breeds positivity and later happiness :) Have a great day Elaine! and thank you for the kind words you left in my blog. It means a lot to me.
We all have days like that. Take comfort knowing you are not the only one.
Hugs, Jeanie
Oh, boy! Subtract children and add copious quantities of cat vomit and that sounds like what I come home to after work every day. I'm almost never tempted to just keep driving, I swear!
