I think we all need to do, on our blogs that is, what we feel comfortable with. I am not going to have Sunny Simple Sunday this week. I think I just don't feel like it right now. I am all for taking our minds off of things when we need to and enjoy the beauty of the season online and at home. For now we are just enjoying a quiet night in watching Christmas shows. See you next week.

I agree, Elaine- It is a sad time. You know that next Tuesday is Silence and Support? Did I send you the graphic for it? If you want it let me know and I will email it to you- xo Diana
I agree. I am inclined to stay quiet and introspective. xo
Exactly what we did too Elaine. So sad.

Quiet is okay, too. Enjoy your time with your wonderful family!
We are all heartbroken, Elaine. It is all so sad...
At our home we call these "pockets of pleasure". Enjoy.
I agree, Elaine. This is a time for family.
I agree...I stopped in to see if you'd cancel / I had a feeling that you would. It is even worse as the details come out and I think that our hearts just get heavier ....it is hard to even know how to pray ...
I left school at 4:30 and was driving home, listening to NPR. Teaching is becoming harder and harder, every day and this is another stress that is being added. Schools mirror what is going on in our society and the level of violence that children are exposed to daily, through television, movies and video games is unnerving. We had a lock down drill two weeks ago and I am sure this will be a topic of discussion on Monday. Ironically, I work with students in the hallway, due to lack of space. Education is not a national priority. We have embraced a war culture and have let the pursuit of money be our goal as a country. I am very, very sad and drained. Every day, 32 people die due to gun violence. We should care about each of those who die needlessly, no matter who they are, how old they are, or where they live.
Sorry to preach, but I am in the trenches.
I have shut the news off and stopped reading the papers and internet. My heart is heavy and my prayers are many. I too need peace and I can control it in my home.
we chose to watch christmas movies and listen to music.

Thank you for such a nice lunch yesterday. I understand the time to just be still. Andrew is enjoying his Santa and we are "enjoying" Santa saying, "ho,ho, ho, Merry Christmas", 150 times! lol
Take care sweetie! It is hard to carry on when there is so much pain. Enjoy your day. Bonnie
I feel the same way,, the thought of what has happened has really taken the life out of so many people.. There is a blog silent on Tuesday the 18th, I put it up on my blog last night but for so many of us who are walking around in disbelief it may last longer.
I just can't stop thinking of those poor families..
Take Care
Sandy
I agree, our hearts are all sick, we all need to just be quiet and pray. Hugs ~ Mary
Truly understand. When we grieve and can't say the words, God knows what is in our hearts. He hears our cries and sees our tears. I need to pull myself in and search for balance within my own world and quietly pray for others in theirs.
Take care.
Emily
I can totally understand where you are coming from. Find peace in your quiet time with family.

I won't be blogging until the end of next week, or doing a lot of visiting. Time to contemplate, I think, the true meaning of life.
Hugs, Cindy
