I had an unused fountain that I wanted to do something pretty with and was inspired by Ricki Jill of Art @ Home to plant it with succulents. That was last spring. I want to invest in more plants to fill lots of my patio pots. Succulents last a long time but require very little water. I maybe splashed water on these every two weeks.
I love how it has filled out and grown so beautifully. And this wall just bakes in the summer sun.
You cannot beat the color and texture of succulents. My new favorite plants. Here we can keep them all year as we do not have frosts very often.

That's gorgeous! What a wonderful idea.
Looks great, I love the one in the back.
It's beautiful, Elaine. I love the way you've planted it. I, too, am just recently getting into succulents. I planted one outside in the spring and of course, Riley's Dish Planter is full of succulents.
Thanks so much for joining in this week!

That's lovely!! Great idea!
So pretty! Love this idea and can't wait to show my mom because she will love it too. I know that she will want to copy this idea for her patio.

That turned out great. I love succulents and that is a wonderful way to display them.
I have a few hot spots in my garden and succulents really fit the bill .
Merle.....
I adore succulents. So versatile, needs little water, and have such texture.

Beautiful! Those succulents look very happy indeed.
Not likely to see a sunny wall here in Ontario for a few more months...
Ahhhh...The blessings of living in Southern California! Your plants are such lush shades of green and so healthy looking. Clearly, they are happy!

Those look so great and healthy! Ours here would be drooping over the edge. Might have to try those.

I LOVE your fountain with the succulents. I too, love these plants. I love how they have that soft bluish tinge to them. I only have one, and have used it as a houseplant so far. I'll put it outside this summer. Would love to find an old fountain to plant!
I adore succulents too! Yours look so lovely and are thriving in your fountain, what a great idea.
Happy weekend!
That looks so great! I think it's time for some succulents here!

Absolutely beautiful!!
Good job ~ they're happy and it looks great.
I would love to have this hanging on my screen porch. It would be perfect@
This is so beautiful! I love to see old broken fountains used this way.
I can only grow winter hardy succulents but there are some nice ones that will over winter well here. I am envious of your variety though.
