It has been dark and rainy here. We need the rain so it is welcome. Hubby is a bit under the weather too so he is on the couch resting.
The kitty boys were found in the laundry basket snuggling. My husband snapped this pick. He grabs the camera and takes pics sometimes so I discover the photos when I upload them.
I really want to get out and clean the coop today and hang out with the chickens but it looks like more rain so I will have to wait. But what I do love is a Saturday where I do not have to go anywhere. Those are the best days.

Those are the best days! We had freezing rain yesterday, so I had a lazy day. All that is gone today, so I might get out, but I don't have to. That's the good part. Have a restful weekend.
Love those wooden heart shaped bowls!
Hi Elaine! OH, the snaps of the kitties is so cute!
Hope you're doing well and have a great weekend.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Raining here too. I need to grocery shop, but may have to put that off. I really don't want to do that in the rain. Have a nice quiet day. Hugs, Marty
kitty boys look so comfy cozy...the best thing to do on a rainy day.
Cute kitties! Stay dry!
oh goodness - didn't know you had cats too!! awww, so cute - all cuddly together. wow, you are on the way to a zoo full. just kidding. i love it. a big happy family. enjoy your cloudy day. read a book or watch a movie? do kids still make "fort" in the home with sheets & all? or that not cool any more? we did that as kids - miss those days. ( :
Those cats are so cute. Your hubby is the best! Hope he feels better soon. We are iced over here, not in a good frosting kind of way, the slippery I-hope-I-don't-break-my neck kind of way. xo
Loved all of your photos Elaine...everything looks so cozy..especially the kitties. Have a great day!
Raining here also...but we are enjoying the quiet and still day!
My car hasn't left the driveway in two days! I love those days, too. Hope hubby is better soon.
I hope Mr. Sunny feels better. Lovely picture of the kitties! We had a late breakfast, and Mr. Art and I are going into town just to look around and get some of his mom's art reframed.
Enjoy your restful day!

RJ
No rain here, just too darned cold. It's a perfect day for a cup of hot cocoa and a good book. Seeing your cute kitties makes me want to bring my little barn cats in for some cuddle time!
Elaine ~ love Saturdays when you can just hang out. It's really cold here but the sun is shining. Here's hoping you see the sun soon ;-)
We were suppose to get rain which would have turned into ice, and would have closed down school -- so sad!! So many projects that need to get done-- and here I play on the blogs instead of getting my projects done!! Love your grey and blue pot. I have a similar one that I got in germany in the 80s!
It's been rather dark and freezing cold here for most of the week, although today it's cold and sunny outside! Sometimes a rainy day is good to make you relax a little, although in Kentucky we seem to have too many of those kind of days in the winter. I'm sure Cali is a different story! Take care of that man of yours. ;)
Blessings,
Leslie
Beautiful photos! Enjoy your Saturday. Hope your hubby feels better soon!
Don't you just love it when you find the kitties snuggling together anywhere! So cute.
Hope your hubby gets better soon. At least he's not missing a bright, sunny day. :-(
have a wonderful stay in day, your "girls "are probably doing the same, lovely shot of the kitties in the basket!
my kitty is upstairs curled in the blankets...I always always make my bed but I keep putting it off as she looks so cute and comfy...
Love your photos / especially your boys...
Hi Elaine; lovely photos, very inviting. Its raining here and I am also taking a morning to drink tea, read posts, do a few indoor chores and just relax a bit.

Oh yes, I totally agree that days when you don't have to go anywhere are the best!
I even love cleaning on a day like today. It goes like this: Clean a little, blog a little, clean a little more, have a bite to eat, clean a little more, check email, clean a little more, go back to blog, clean a little more and if I get it all done, I can venture out for a walk through the local thrift store for fun! Oh yeah.
Otherwise, revert to above! Susan
Other than the hubby being sick, it sounds like a great day to for a little R & R!
Sometimes I love those dark and dreary days- sometimes not. Love the kitty photo- xo Diaan
Love the kitty babies shot. Tell hubby how beautiful it is please. It is delightfully sunny here and I have been cutting back lantana in the front yard.
What beautiful little kitties. So cute!
I love your country decorating style!! Its refreshing to all the shabby chic around blog land!
Lovely pics and yes, I agree...after years of 4 kids and a career that kept me on call 24/7 I answer to no one now and I love it!
It's been raining here in Phoenix since around 11:00 pm last night. It's now 5:30 pm the following day it's still going. Enjoying a quiet day here at home too. Hope the hubby feels better.
The kitties look awfully cozy, Elaine! Stay warm and dry. Don told me it was raining in San Diego yesterday, too.
Thanks so much for joining in this week!

Rainy days are good for a cup of tea and a good book.
Cute kitties!
Lovely pictures. Enjoy the rainy Sunday afternoon. It's sunny but very cold here so I'm in the house too. :)
We had those freezing rains and it caused so much damage in accidents. Love your cats. Can't imagine anyone wanting to hang out with the chickens.
What a sweet picture of the sleepy kitties.
Love your kitty cats snuggling in the hamper, such cuties! And what fun to find little surprise photos taken by your husband, so sweet.
I adore your heart shaped wooden bowls, so charming. Are they vintage? (She asks, her "heart shaped" obsession waking up teehee!).
Happy week to you!
I agree, Elaine -- stay-at-home Saturdays are my favorites! I love the picture of the kitties -- your husband did a good job. I hope he feels better soon!
Stay at home days are my favorite. I love your pictures.
What is there about cats and laundry baskets. Mine tries to get in after I fold the clean clothes. I have to make sure to take them to the bedroom right away and put them away. She also loves empty boxes and any other nook and cranny that she can get into.
Those are the best Saturdays. :) Lovely post. I'm visiting from Sunlit Sundays. Stop by if you get a chance. Have a lovely week!
I can see you found the "sunny" side of your rainy day. It's all how we look at things, isn't it!
I love the cats and hope your husband is feeling better. Thanks to both of you for participating in Sunlit Sunday; I hope you'll join in again.
