Sunny Simple Sunday Linky Party

Well, I braved the weather and did a few chicken chores this morning. I was soaked but I just jumped in a hot shower when I came in. Status... no eggs yet but two chickens with very red combs so I have read that is a good sign. You know there will be a happy post when I collect that first egg after their break.

This week for highlights I picked three things I love; homemaking, rolling pins and chickens. Enjoy!

Cottage Sweet Cottage showed her red DIY vintage rolling  pin. I love red handled rolling pins and collect them.

Cottage Making Mommy shared her tips for washing and drying dishes. This seems something we all have to do but I never tire of posts about homemaking skills.

Our Neck of the Woods shared a treat she made for her chickens. Is that not a gorgeous bird or what? My love and fascination of all things chicken just keeps on growing.

Okay, now to share what you have been up to this week. Thank you for taking the time to link up!
Happy Sunday!!

Thanks for hosting Elaine, I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. I love the chicken, the hubby and I keep talking about getting a few but he hasn't committed yet.

I had never heard about the hens' combs being a sign of egg production returning. Fascinating! LOVE that rooster. To think that I actually passed up an old rolling pin at a thrift store a few weeks ago. What was I thinking???

Thanks so much for hosting, Elaine.

Have you thought about adding some extra light to your coop? We added about 4 hours more and it really keeps your egg production up. I make them work for their feed :)

Hi Elaine, It made me smile when you were talking all about homemaking and that's what I was linking up. What a conincidence! Don't know what happened, but it didn't link my pic correctly. If you're able to delete it go ahead and I'll try relinking. So sorry!

This morning I thought today was going to be PJ day... but the sun came out... played indoors most of the day the clouds an fog rolled in Ventura about 5:00 P.M. and then it got chilly agin. Just taking care of the hose is way too much I really give you credit for taking care of chickens, I know they require a lot of upkeep.
